About us
Niebrugge Furniture was founded in 1978 by Gerald Niebrugge. After serving his country in the Army in the Vietnam War, he decided to purchase the current location. In 1982 Gerald tore down the existing building and built what is now the main furniture building on 500 W Fayette.
In 2005 Gerald's son Jason who had just earned a Bachelor degree from EIU, began working full time at the furniture store. In 2007 the two decided it was time to expand and demolished the old warehouse and added a second show room with additional warehouse capabilities. Gerald passed in way in 2009 and Jason became the owner of Niebrugge Furniture. In 2017 Jason decided to continue to expand and tore down an apartment building behind the new store in order to increase the size of the showroom and add additional warehouse space.
Throughout the years Niebrugge Furniture has had the same goals: to offer quality furnishings at the best prices around, while still having the highest quality of service. No one that visits Niebrugge Furniture is a stranger, we like to get to know are customers and continue to develop new friendships! We look forward to seeing existing customers and meeting new customers every day!
